Isolated current sensors from the TICP IsoVu™ series
The TICP IsoVu™ series of isolated current probes offer exceptional bandwidth, noise rejection, accuracy and ease of use for current measurements.
Complete galvanic isolation prevents ground loops and enables high common-mode rejection. In a 1X configuration, the 50Ω input of the TICP series probes offers extremely low noise of less than 4.7 nV/√Hz, making them ideal for accurate measurements of shunt resistors. The probes offer a wide range of attenuation tips that extend the differential voltage range. Depending on the shunt resistor used, the probes are suitable for current measurements from microamperes (µA) in low-power mobile devices to hundreds of amperes in industrial and mobility systems.
Key performance data and characteristics
- Galvanic isolation between probe tip and oscilloscope
- Available in three bandwidths: 1 GHz, 500 MHz and 250 MHz
- The width of the current measurement range is determined by the shunt resistor used with the probe tips 1X, 10X or 100X.
- Noise <4.70 nV/√Hz (<21 μVRMS at 20 MHz)
- Up to 90 dB common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) at 1 MHz
- Maximum common mode voltage: 1.8 kV; for use in an environment with interference level 1; with a transient level of no more than 5 kV peak
- 1.5% accuracy of DC gain
- Compatible with MSO devices from the 4, 5 and 6 series, including the current B modelsCompatible with MSO devices from the 4, 5 and 6 series, including the current B models
- The TekVPI interface allows the probe to be controlled and configured via the front panel or the oscilloscope's programming interface.
